This is an intermediate course in the study and practice of graphic design systems relative to social, cultural and historic issues. Students will learn the value of research as it applies to the development of design solutions. Emphasis is on conceptual thinking, visual organization/composition, information hierarchy, symbolic representation and the construction of meaningful images.
This project involves designing an information graphic poster that represents Generation Z USING quantitative AND QUALITATIVE DATA.
The project intent was to create an entire package including a logo & identity system for a town, stationery for its mayor, large “Welcome to …” signage, an interior exhibition design for city hall, 3 banner designs for a cultural event, one poster design from historical perspective, and page layouts for a coffee table book.
Design a book cover for the coffee table book for previous project. This book contained all the Small Towns in America projects of class.
